In the journalist style of CBS newsman Charles Kuralt, who died of complications of lupus, Marcia Urbin Raymond and Karin Mellberg, who are newly diagnosed with this complex auntoimmune disease, head out on the road to give voice to a traditionally silent and hidden lupus community.

Through a series of interviews with a diverse group of people living with lupus and rheumatologists, we discover the mysterious nature of lupus, and recount the journey towards wellness and acceptance of a life threatening, chronic illness.
